School Readiness and Family Engagement are priorities for the program and go hand in hand.  Parents are the child’s primary teacher, beginning at birth.  More learning takes place in the first five years of life than at any other stage of development.  Head Start supports families in building a solid foundation for success for tomorrow’s world.
