The Area Agency on Aging Difference

90% of older adults age 65 and older say they want to stay in their homes as long as possible. Since many people will eventually need services or supports to live in their home and community safely, Area Agencies on Aging provide Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). These support older adults with limitations in their routine daily activities, with services including home-delivered meals and attendant care. These services cost a fraction of the cost of nursing homes and other institutional care options. They also help seniors to age in place, in the comfort of their homes and with their loved ones.
