As any volunteer will attest, the benefits of volunteering are numerous and often unexpected.

Through Western Arizona Council of Governments volunteers are given the opportunity to share their life experiences with their community. They are able to apply their talents and creativity to meet community needs that enrich the lives of everyone involved. By helping others, volunteers often find that they help themselves too.

Deep emotional rewards are gained by volunteering; many people seek to become volunteers, but don't always know where to turn to help. The WACOG Area Agency on Aging Volunteer Services Program provides a variety of volunteer opportunities to promote volunteer efforts, and to assist local nonprofit agencies in meeting their enormous volunteer needs.
