The WACOG Area Agency on Aging, Region IV, serves clients in the three Western Counties of Arizona.

We are a part of a national network of organizations, established under the Older Americans Act of 1965 (OAA) to respond to the needs of Older Adults. There are more than 650 Area Agencies on Aging throughout the United States.

All Area Agencies advocate, plan, coordinate, develop and deliver services for seniors 60 years and older and for family caregivers. To meet its objectives, the WACOG Area Agency contracts with non-profit and for-profit providers and health departments to deliver services that assist the elderly, helping them to remain in their homes as long as possible.

Direct service through Area Agency staff is also available for benefits counseling, information and referral, volunteer services and through the ombudsman program. Agency staff regularly visit the regions communities and town for the purpose of training educating and advocating on important senior issues, and meeting individually with senior clients.
