Area Agency On Aging

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST - YUMA COUNTY - jOB #1063-11Y AAA

This position serves as the lead coordinator and developer of resources for the AAA and its programs; is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of AAA events, trainings and conferences; public relations campaigns for the AAA; supporting the AAA Director with the Regional Council on Aging; serving as the lead staff person for AAA wellness programs; and for developing and coordinating grant proposals. 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, English, Humanities, Marketing, Community or Public Health or related field experience.  Two (2) years experience researching, writing and monitoring grant proposals or applications.  Experience working with low-income individuals in a community setting and social service is desirable.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

CENTRAL INTAKE CASE WORKER (Information/Referral & Assessment Specialist)

Job #1068-11M AAA (Kingman)

Provides information and referral for clients requesting assistance.  Interviews clients, determines assistance needed and schedules appointments.  Requires considerable contact with members of poverty groups, other agencies, anti-poverty workers, and the general public. 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, Social Services or related field and five years experience in the social services field.  Master’s Degree preferred.  Two years experience in casework management, counseling or related activities.  Equivalent combinations of experience and training may be considered.

Temporary Part-Time Classroom Aide – Lake Havasu City – Job #1059-11M HES

Two positions - One 19 hours per week and One approximately 40 hours per week for up to 30 days

No benefits.

Assists children in developmentally appropriate activities in an Early Childhood Education program.

Qualifications:  High School Diploma or GED plus experience working with preschool age children and/or experience providing special education services for preschool age children.

Head Start Program Manager - Mohave County - JOB #1061-11M HES

This position is responsible for managing, coordinating and implementing WACOG’s Head Start program policies, goals and objectives for Head Start centers in Mohave County in order to achieve program short and long range goals and objectives and ensure compliance with the Head Start Act, Performance Standards and other regulations/mandates. 

Qualifications: 

BA or BS in Business Administration, Education, Public Administration or related degree.  Advanced degree preferred.   Minimum 3 years directly related experience that includes supervisory responsibilities and program planning skills.  Experience in Early childhood Education is preferred.  An equivalent combination of experience and education and/or training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to fulfill the requirements of this position may be considered.
