Transportation Improvement Projects (TIP)
WACOG Transportation Programs include the development of a Five Year Local Transportation Improvement Program which allocates federal funds for local street and road projects. This program is updated annually and is allocated approximately 1.3 million of federal Surface Transportation funds to the WACOG region in La Paz and Mohave Counties. Several requirements must be met for a road to be eligible for federal funds before funding can be awarded.
Other funding sources listed on the WACOG TIP are:
- Highway Safety Improvement Projects at $600,000 per year for WACOG member entities
- Local Transportation Enhancement Projects
- High Risk Rural Road Projects
- Bridge Project
